Our Family update.

It's been along time since I blogged so I thought I would. It's been a fast, busy summer. School for Melanie and Melissa started Monday. Jacob starts next Monday. I took him into testing this morning and they were all "wow". He knew everything they asked him, but one thing. He tested for about 30 minutes. He is excited and wanted to stay. The teacher that I requested, that he got was the one that Amanda, Kyle and Jeni had. She remembered them. It was nice to know that he can't wait to go back. It makes a difference when you get a teacher that loves her career like Miss Tawna does. It's been quiet around here without Brian. He moved out 2 months ago. We just have the 3 at home now. It's nice that they are getting big in away. Gives us some more free time, but yet we know we are getting up there in age. Bryan and I have decided to take a trip to Paris, London and Rome on a 2 week getaway. We might be able to pull it off this spring, so we will have to see. I told him April will be a good time and he thinks May. If anyone wants to tag along then great. It's 2,500 dollars a person. It includes air, euro train, breakfast and dinner, and your hotel. You have to buy lunch and any tours that you want to include. We are going to do the paris dinner and the moonlighting one for 50 bucks a person. It will be fun and can't wait. Kyle is doing good, just the same. He bought a boat that we are taking out for Labor day at the Huntington lake. Jeni is enjoying being married, just trying to find time. She is in the RN program and working full time too. Her life is fulfilled. Melanie is a senor now, so I don't know how much time we will get to see her. She turns 17 tomorrow. She is working at subway in walmart. Wow, time doesn't stand still. Amanda is still being a good mom to Madie. Still working at the BSA as the manager there. Melissa will start dance here shortly. She wants to be a cheer leader some day and with her looks and long blond hair it will be hard to keep the boys off her. She is starting piano lessons too. Jake starts karate and they are both doing the swimming thing. Their lives are full. Bryan wants me to go on part time so that I can spend more time at home. I told him after Christmas. Well that's about all of our family updates for the day. Hope all of you enjoy yours.

Yesterday we went to Orem and shopped around for Jeni's wedding dress. We looked around at the mall and didn't really see anything that sparked Jen's taste. Mom told us of a place in North Orem to try, and we did. Jen tried on a few, but then Amanda and I saw one on a display, a one of a kind. It was the most beautiful dress ever. Jen tried it on and it fit. It was like a dress just waiting for her to buy. She looked like a princess. Then we went to lunch and had a good time. We looked around for Amanda, Melanie and Melissa's dresses and didn't have any luck, so we decided to go to the Provo mall. We found the perfect dresses for the s and they looked so pretty. We then went and got an orange julius. Madison was so cute too. She has so much fun going with us even if she tries to fight off the car seat seatbelt. Awe, another fun day of memories we have made. Our next trip will be on the 27th when we go back up to Twin Falls to do busniess and of course go shopping to some of our favorite stores up there that we dearly miss. We will have another day of memories.......

It's been awhile since I updated my blog, so I thought that I would. Work has been long. Just finished 5 12 hour shifts in a row and I am pooped. Amanda is doing good. She takes such good care of Madi. She dresses her up so cute, with matching bows in her hair and socks to match. She's suc a little sweetheart. We love her so much. Manda is such a wonderful mommy. Kyle is doing good with his GF Sara. She just got into the nursing program. I was teasing kyle and told him if he married sara then his mom, sister and wife would all be nurses. Jeni is so happy. She closed on her new house last week, bought a new car, got into the RN program and is still planning her wedding. April is a good month for her. Brian is still doing good in school, soon to graduate in May. Melanie is a happy good kid who is making friends right and left. Can't keep up. Soon she will be 17. I just can't believe they grow so fast. Melissa is excited about getting baptized August 1st and Jacob is still Jacob. He loves our new cocker spanials pups. One is Annie and the other is Shadow. They are so cute. Annie follows Jake around every where. I am looking forward to Spring so that I can start on my garden. I have the next few days off. The kids want to hike down to Moab on Easter, but I don't get off work until 6am. We will see how things are. Maybe will will do a picnic or something fun...

Happy birthday kyle

Well today is Kyle's 24th birthday, man they grow up fast. I had a coffee table made for him with an Elk drawing. The kids went and bought him a really nice BBQ. Jake got him a loader toy, hehe and a couple of CD. Amanda made him a yummy chocolate cake and we had pizza. Too bad he has to work on his bday. Jeni closes on her house next week. She is busy with her wedding plans. Amanda loves her new lap top that we got her for her bday 3 weeks ago. I am trying to talk that into finishing college. I thought that new laptop would be a hint. work is going fine other than another stupid nurse I would like to kill. other than that life is great and busy......

Life can't be better!!

Wow, it just seems like yesterday when I posted my last blog. Life has been so busy, so crazy lately. The kids are busy too with their lives, but we manage to do somethings. I have decided that on Mondays it will me Mandy and mommy day. We will take the kids to the library and then out to lunch. It was a day for me staying home and cleaning, but I got thinking that that I have time to do that before and after. I am hoping that maybe Jeni gets mondays off so that she can at least go to lunch with us. Today we went to KFC, it was fun. Then Monday off to the gym. I haven't been going for the last two weeks because of my medical problem. . Going to the gym is fun, a time to spend some time with the s. Kyle has a new lady in his life. Brian is getting ready to graduate in May. Melanie is busy with school and boys. Melissa is doing good. She will get baptized August 1st and is excited about it. Jacob, well we won't talk about the trouble that boy gets in. He never amazes me anymore. We started yard work the other day. Walmart has their garden center started and a display of a water fall setup. Payday I am going to get one and make me a cute waterfall garden. I am so excited. I have been looking at rose bushes on www.gurneys.com and found some cute cute ones. They also have a new colored peonys. They are awesome. I have spring fever so bad. I just can't wait until all the flowers hit the stores. I am going to be so busy. We're going to try and plant watermellons in our back, since we have an acre of dirt we minds well put it to use. Bryan is going to get some raspberry plants. I am headed to Provo to do our monthy costco shopping. Kyle's birthday is Wed and we have something awesome planned for him. update on the Family

It's been so busy lately with everything going on. Bryan is getting some work lined up and is busy doing some other things. Amanda is busy with Madi, work and taking the Temple prep

classes. I will go with her when she goes through. It will be nice then we can go do the Lord's

work. Going to the Temple is one of the greatest feelings that an individual can have. Kyle

had his surgery on monday. He is feeling better, but the Dr. said that it will take about a month

for him to recover fully. His new boat sits and waits for all of us to go play. We are thinking about Easter, but it depends on the weather. Jeni is busy working and planning her wedding in

July. It will be in the Las Vegas Temple on July 8th, 2009 ( 07- 08 -09) cool date!! After the wedding we're headed down to San Diego to the beach and to play. Her reception is on the 18th of July. July is a busy month for us. Then they are in the process of buying a new house. Brian is doing so good in school. He will graduate in may. He is then going to college. I am proud of him and for all his good work. He loves computers and that's his major. Melanie is so busy with school too. She has a lot going on in her life that I never see her. She smiles so pretty now since her braces came off. She's looking for a job, but I don't know it that's good. Melissa is doing good in school too. She will be baptized this summer, maybe August 1st. She is working on a project in school called, "when I was a baby". She is a happy, sweet little . She wants me to cut her hair and I told her to go ask her dad, he said no. ha ha.... Then Jacob, oh Jacob. He was DX with ADHD. It has been a time with him. Bryan said David had it too. David is a pretty mellow kid now and does good, so I have hope for him. He is really smart and is ready to go to school. I keep thinking that if his birthday was in August and not September then he would be at school now. oh well. As far as me? I am doing good. I am busy a lot. Being a nurse is rewarding, but yet takes a lot of time from home. As soon as Bryan gets going with the business then I will drop down to part time. It's funny, he said "I like you home so you can do the cooking and cleaning, I've realized it's not for me" I guess you have to do it to figure it out. He is doing good on his diet. He has lost 15 lbs. I am glad that he finally gave up that pop. He drinks crystal light now.
